Suelia Fleury Rosa
University of Brasilia
Prof. Suélia de S. Rodrigues Fleury Rosa is a leader in biomedical engineering research applied to development of healthcare solutions. Currently dedicated to research capacity of research and development, initial deployment and demonstration of proof-of-utility in real-world settings for medical devices; problematizing the RD&I ecosystem that meets ethical and health requirements that extrapolate basic research. Its main emphasis is in the search for translational routes in health. Since 2005, he has developed new methods and tools for health products with a focus on licensing – considering elements of ecological, socio-cultural and socio-economic sustainability. The research is aligned with mathematical modelling, simulations, non-clinical trials and clinical trials within the engineering field in the search for innovation and correlation of theory and practice. Prof. Suélia Fleury, Brazilian, graduated in Electronic Engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), has a Masters in Electronic Engineering – Mechatronics – Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA). Was Industrial Automation Engineering – SIEMENS LTDA. He has a doctorate in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Brasilia. And held Postdoctoral (2013) in the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
