Nancy Zimmerman, MBA
Executive Director
Nancy is a visionary, strategic, and entrepreneurial leader with an impressive professional background in product management, strategic marketing, and operations. Her professional resume includes working with such brands as Procter & Gamble, Girl Scouts USA, and Hackensack Meridian Health. With an academic background consistent with her career, Nancy holds BA degree from Indiana University in Brand Identity, and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati with a concentration in marketing. Always helpful and happy to engage, Nancy is excited to be part of the EMBS team.
Outside of work, Nancy enjoys family life with her husband Stuart, daughter Ally, and son Harrison. She also enjoys time on the mat practicing yoga, traveling, and hunting for treasures at estate sales and flea markets.
Deidre Artis, CMP, DES
Senior Society Operations Manager
Deidre is a highly competent, results-driven, and multifaceted professional, with comprehensive experience in core business process, strategic planning, and event management. She has worked at IEEE for 10 years. In her previous role she worked in IEEE MCE as a Senior Event Planner. She has 20 years in conference and convention planning working with associations and corporations. Deidre holds a BA degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
Deidre enjoys time with her husband Bruce and her toddler son Ryan. She enjoys fitness, reading and traveling.
Tara Wysocki
Conference Portfolio Manager
Tara is a dynamic, quality-oriented, professional with extensive involvement in project management, client relations, and ROI strategy. She has over 20 years of conference and large event experience and thrives in creating unique programs for every client.
Outside of the office, Tara enjoys time with her husband Ryan, daughter Quinn, and their 3 dogs. She is also a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan and distance runner.
Ting Chen, Ph.D., MBA
Senior Program Manager
Dr. Ting Yang Chen is a passionate and driven professional with a proven track record in healthcare engineering, education, and innovation. Dr. Chen leverages his extensive healthcare background to contribute to the success of the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) and help further its mission.
He holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Arizona State University and an MBA from Indiana University, combining deep technical expertise with strategic business acumen.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Chen enjoys spending quality time with his family and traveling.
