Amira Salah Ashour, Professor and Head of Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University, Egypt. She is the founder and Director of MICSCAS Lab (Medical image computing systems& computer-assisted surgery Laboratory), Faculty of Engineering, Tanta University, Egypt, since Feb. 2020. Ashour is a book series co-editor: Advances in Ubiquitous Sensing Applications for Healthcare, Elsevier. She is an Associate editor in IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health informatics. She has a national patent titled ‘A Feature Map Generator-Extractor Dual-Device for Supporting Telemedicine’, 2023. Dr. Ashour’s main research interests include Biomedical Engineering ‘Designing Computer-aided Diagnosis Systems, Medical Imaging, Medical Devices, Ablation Therapy’.

Dr. Guoliang Fan is now the Cal and Marilyn Vogt Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Oklahoma State University (OSU), Stillwater, OK, USA. His research interests include image processing, machine learning and computer vision and biomedical applications. He was the recipient of the Young Alumni Achievement Award from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Delaware in 2015, and he received the OSU Regents Distinguished Research Award in 2022.
Paulo de Carvalho

Paulo de Carvalho is a Full Professor in Informatics Engineering at the University of Coimbra. He was the co-founder and co-coordinates the Health Informatics Lab at the University of Coimbra. His main research interests are adaptive computational techniques with application to bio-signals and digital health. His publications include several books, book chapters and over 250 papers in refereed scientific journals and conferences. He served as the coordinator of the IFMBE working group on Health Informatics and eHealth and currently coordinates the Digital Health Division of the IFMBE. Since 2018 he has served the IEEE-JBHI as Associate Editor. Currently he is the Deputy Dean for Research at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra and he coordinates the Master Programme on Data Science and Engineering at the University of Coimbra.
