Yuji Owada was born in Fukushima, Japan, in 1963. He received the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Tohoku University, Miyagi, Japan, in 1989 and 1996, respectively. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Organ Anatomy, Graduate School of Medicine, Yamaguchi University, Yamaguchi, Japan. His research interests include neuroscience, lipid biochemistry, and molecular/cellular biology.
