Ying Zheng received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in automatic control and systems engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK, in 1983 and 1988 respectively. She worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Sheffield in 1986, becoming a lecturer in 1994. In 2013, she joined the School of Systems Engineering, University of Reading, UK as a Professor in Systems Engineering and Neuroscience. Prof. Zheng is a member of the Society for Neuroscience. Her research interest includes mathematical modelling of biological systems.
