Takahiro Nitta received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, in 1998 and 2003, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor of Applied Physics Course at Gifu University, Gifu, Japan, Faculty of Engineering. He is also an Affiliated Faculty at Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan. Prof. Nitta is a member of the Biophysical Society, the Biophysical Society of Japan, the Surface Science Society of Japan and the Physical Society of Japan. He is serving as an Associate Editor of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON NANOBIOSCIENCE.
