Suiren Wan received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 1982, and the PhD degree from the Beijing Institute of Vacuum Electronic Technology, Beijing, China, in 1986. Since 1993, he has been a Professor and the Director of State Key Laboratory of Bioelectronics, Laboratory for Medical Electronics, School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing, China. His research interests lie in the areas of computerized medical instruments and applications of electromagnetic and sound waves, medical image processing, biomedical signal processing, especially on using wavelet in biomedical engineering.
