Hans Dietl received the Ph.D. degree in 1987 from Vienna University of Technology, Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer, Department of Bio Fluid Mechanics and Magnetic Hydrodynamics. From 1987 to 1993 he worked as an R&D Engineer for Ottobock, Austria. He was head of R&D from 1993 to 2008. Currently, he is Managing Director of Ottobock, Vienna, Austria, and CTO of Otto Bock HealthCare, Germany. He has over 30 years of industrial and academic research experience in the field of prosthetics, orthotics and neuroprosthetics.
