Diego Rativa received the BSc (2002) and MSc (2004) in physics from the Pedagogic and Technological University of Colombia and the Federal University of Pernambuco Brazil, respectively. In 2008, he received the PhD degree from the Electrical Engineering Department, Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil, with a thesis on Biophotonic devices. Dr. Rativa worked as a Postdoctoral researcher on the advanced optical imaging group on the University College Dublin (2008-2011), Ireland (2008-2011), developing new methodologies for retinal mapping. He is currently Adjunct Professor at the Computer Engineering of the University of Pernambuco, Brazil, and is member of the Optical Society of America (OSA) and IEEE society. The research of Dr. Diego Rativa addresses mainly but not limited to biomedical instrumentation and artificial intelligence applications.
