Raimon Jané, PhD, is Research Director at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC Barcelona Tech). Since 2007, he is also Group Leader of the Biomedical Signal Processing and Interpretation (BIOSPIN) at IBEC, and PI of the SISBIO Group of the Biomedical Research Networking Center in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN, Spain). Currently, prof. Jané is member of CIBER-BBN Steering Committee, as Coordinator of the Bioengineering area. He is senior member of IEEE-Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society since 2014 and IEEE-Signal Processing Society.

He is PI of different international and national research projects focus on Digital Biomarkers, mHealth and multimodal diagnostic applied to respiratory diseases  and sleep disorders, as well as translational engineering on signal interpretation from organ-on-a-chip and organoids.

Prof. Jané was the president of the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering (SEIB) for 2012-2020.
