Workshops and special session proposal at EMBC 2024
The Therapeutic & Diagnostic Systems and Technologies Technical Community is organizing different events at EMBC 2024.
“How Start Up Companies Can Better Position Themselves for Success” – special session – July 18, at 9.30
A Special Session on the topic “How Start Up Companies Can Better Position Themselves for Success” presents strategies to help raise capital, efficient management of limited resources, and lessons learned from past start-up experiences. The Panel expands on what investors are expecting from a pitch made start-ups during fund raising, on strategic partnerships, and on common pitfalls. The session will focus on: how to start a start-up (Dorin Panescu), Small Business grants (Dieter Haemmerich, Punit Prakash), on how to maximize changes of success (Theodore Papagiannis, Michael R. Christensen), on technology transfer (Nitish Thakor).
