Amirkhosro Kazemi earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and is currently a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Louisville. His work focuses on cardiovascular fluid dynamics, 4D flow MRI, bioimaging, and deep learning applications in biomedical engineering. His research interests encompass biomimetic hydrodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, and patient-specific data analysis, particularly in aortic stenosis, cerebral vasculature, intracranial aneurysms, and idiopathic intracranial hypertension. Dr. Kazemi has authored and co-authored several journal articles and conference proceedings, with his research featured in prominent outlets such as Phys.org, Science Daily, EurekAlert!, Science Magazine, PhysicsWorld, and ANSYS. Among his recognitions are the Best Dissertation Award, the Link Foundation Ph.D. Fellowship, the Best Paper Award (Second Place) at ISBI 2024, and the IEEE TMI Distinguished Reviewer Award. He is an active member of SPIE, IEEE, and APS and contributes as a reviewer for several leading journal publications.
