An implantable, flexible, ultra-miniaturized circular-shaped triple band microstrip antenna as an intraocular unit applicable for retinal prosthesis is proposed. It operates at three different frequencies of 1.25 GHz (WMTS), 2.45 GHz (ISM), and 3.32 GHz (WiMAX), which supports downlink communications for retinal stimulation (date telemetry) and power telemetry.
