This paper reports a miniaturized transducer integrated with an optical fiber for photoacoustic-imaging (PA)-guided intravascular sonothrombolysis. The thrombolysis efficiency was validated in-vitro and for the first time, PA imaging was applied for clot detection and characterization through a deep tissue.
