ANNA PROCOPIO Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, University of Catanzaro, Italy Expertise: systems and synthetic biology, health informatics, bioinstrumentation, clinical engineering, signal processing, hybrid modeling, medical devices, cardiovascular disease Anna Procopio received her M.S. degree in biomedical engineering, in 2016, followed by a Ph.D. in molecular and translational oncology and innovative medical-surgical technologies for the curriculum in biomedical systems, and applied nanotechnology engineering, in 2020 at the University of Magna Graecia of Catanzaro. Currently, She is a research fellow in Bioengineering at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine of the University of Magna Graecia of Catanzaro, and an Adjunct Associate Professor in clinical engineering and bioinstrumentation. Her research activity is mainly focused on systems and synthetic biology. She specializes in developing and evaluating mathematical models to understand complex biological processes underlying various diseases. Her research also involves developing hybrid pipelines to enhance mechanistic model outcomes through artificial intelligence methods and designing proper chemical reaction networks to devise robust genetic circuitry.
