Dr. William Heetderks, Associate Director of the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), NIH has organized an NIBIB Workshop on Point of Care Technologies and Challenges that will be held on October 9, 2014 from 9.00 AM to 12.30 PM at the IEEE Special Topics Conference on Healthcare Innovations and Point-of-Care Technologies (HIPOCT) at the Renaissance Hotel in Seattle, WA. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the NIBIB perspective and pathway to Point-of-Care. Along with the open forum discussion, there will be three invited talks presented by leading researchers, including Dr. Catherine Klapperich, Director of the Center for Future Technologies in Cancer Care (CFTCC) at Boston University, part of the NIBIB Point of Care Technologies Research Network; Dr. Erica Forzani, Deputy Director of the Center for Bioelectronics and Biosensors, Biodesign Institute, Arizona State University; and Dr. Santosh Kumar, Center for Community Health, University of Memphis.
