IEEE EMBS presents

Important Update on EMBS Membership Dues

We are facing unprecedented challenges with the COVID pandemic, which has led to human loss and huge economic burden worldwide. Our members have risen to the occasion by contributing to scientific advances, publishing exciting articles in journals and engaging in pioneering technical activities. In spite of the significant financial and social challenges, our participation in society activities continue as we come together as the EMBS family.

As researchers, clinicians and industrialists in biomedical engineering, we lead with science and we need to ensure that our research findings are shared and translated for the benefit of humanity. We appreciate your continued engagement with the Society and hope you will encourage your colleagues to join us in helping overcome the challenges that lie at the that lie at the core of engineering in medicine and biology.

In order to ease the financial burden and to encourage an even larger participation in the Society, the EMBS AdCom has voted to reduce the EMB membership fee for the all Member Categories during 2020-21.

Members:  $25 Premier (includes EMBS ER) $12 Essential*

Students:   $5 Premier (includes EMBS ER) $1 Essential*

*does not include the required IEEE Member fee

Should circumstances continue for members on a personal basis, we encourage you to avail yourself of assistive programs for financial support should you meet the IEEE requirements of minimum income or needs in developing countries.

Finally, we urge you to continue to participate in the Society and its activities.  There are many ways to make an impact and engage with others locally via Chapters/Clubs.  Many of our conferences continue in a virtual format with registration discounts for Members.   Access to conference proceedings are published via IEEE Xplore and this information is available as part of Premier Membership via the EMBS Electronic Resource (EMBS ER) 60-90 days after the Conference.

Wishing you safe well-being and participation in exciting ventures for promoting our field, we look forward to hearing from you and seeing you in EMBC 2020 that will be held using remote participation technologies.
