
Zhongyuan Yu
Zhongyuan Yu is a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens Institute of Technology. Dr. Yu’s research crosses multiple disciplines including applied statistics, data visualization, simulation, text-mining, and socioeconomic analysis to facilitate strategic decision making. Her current focus is on understanding and managing complex systems in healthcare. Dr. Yu has presented her research findings in national and international conferences such as IEEE Vis, INFORMS, Academy Health, and CESUN, and delivered over 50 presentations to executives in public sectors and private industry, including North Shore-LIJ Health System, UnitedHealth, and Bell Labs. Dr. Zhongyuan Yu holds a Ph.D. in System Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, M.S. in Operations Research and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
