Member, IEEE. Whoi-Yul Kim received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, W.L., IN, USA in 1989. From 1989 to 1994, He was with the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas. He joined Hanyang University in 1994 where he is now a professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering. His research interests include health monitoring using mobile devices, visual surveillance, virtual devices, machine vision systems, advanced driver assistance system, and 3D vision systems in sports as well as home appliances.
