Ulrich Mehnert received the M.D. degree form the University of Ulm, Germany, in 2005 and became Fellow of the European Board of Urology in 2014. He is currently a consultant urologist in the Department of Neuro-Urology at the Balgrist University Hospital, Zurich, Switzerland, the deputy head of the Neuro- Urology research group at the Spinal Cord Injury Research lab, University of Zurich, Switzerland, and an assistant lecturer at the medical faculty of the University of Zurich, Switzerland. His main research focus is the structural and functional neuroimaging of supraspinal human lower urinary tract control, neurophysiological assessment of human lower urinary tract sensory function, and diagnosis and treatment of lower urinary tract dysfunctions. Dr. Mehnert is the vice-chairman of the Swiss Continence Foundation and member of the Swiss and German Urological Societies, the European Association of Urology, the International Continence Society, and the Forum Urodynamicum.
