Sang Hoon Kang

Sang Hoon Kang (M’12) received the B.S. (cum laude), M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from KAIST, Daejeon, Republic of Korea, in 2000, 2002, and 2009, respectively. He was a Research Associate at the Sensory Motor Performance Program (SMPP), Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), Chicago, IL, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Northwestern University, Chicago, IL from 2010 to 2015. He was also an Instructor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL in 2012 and 2013. He is currently an Assistant Professor of the Department of System Design and Control Engineering, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), Ulsan, Republic of Korea, and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, Chicago, IL. His current research interests include rehabilitation robotics and biomechanics of human movement with emphasis on rehabilitation medicine.
