Saartje Duerinck was born in Vilvoorde, Belgium, in 1982. She received the M.S. degree in rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy and in manual therapy, in 2006 and 2011, respectively, from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussels, Belgium, where she is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Experimental Anatomy at the faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy. Currently, her main field of interest is gait biomechanics.
