Estimating Reference Shape Model for Personalized Surgical Reconstruction of Craniomaxillofacial Defects
Current craniomaxillofacial (CMF) surgical planning techniques that rely on cephalometric analysis work reasonably well in correcting mild jaw deformities, but are inadequate for complex CMF defects (e.g., trauma). To alleviate this problem, we propose a method for estimating patient-specific reference bony shape models for planning of reconstructive surgery for patients with acquired CMF defects.
