Paolo Fraccaro

Paolo Fraccaro was born in Genoa (Italy), where he obtained a Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering and Master Degree in Bioengineering with specialization in Health Informatics (Thesis: "Design and development of a web-based platform for the management of data within clinical trials concerning HIV+ patients”) at the University of Genoa. Between 2012 and 2013 (1 year) Paolo has been research fellow in the University of Genoa where he investigated about reusing routinely collected data for clinical research through international communication and coding standards (i.e. HL7, SNOMED CT, LOINC or ICD) in the field of HIV. Subsequently, in March 2013 Paolo joined the Centre for Health Informatics at City University London (UK) as a research fellow (6 months) where his research was focused on Clinical Decision Support and biomedical signal processing. In September 2013 Paolo was awarded a NIHR MATRIC Studentship 2013 by the NIHR Greater Manchester Primary Care Patient Safety Translational Research Centre where he started a PhD in Health Informatics in October 2013.
