Munevver Kokuer received the PhD degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from the University of Essex, UK. From 1994 to 2001 she was an Associate Professor at the Anadolu University, Turkey. She has conducted research at various universities in the UK on a wide range of projects funded by EU, UK Research Councils, and industry. She was Invited Lecturer at the Summer Session Programme of International Space University in Bremen, Germany (2001) and in LA, USA (2002). She is an Editorial Board Member of The Computer Journal (Oxford University Press) and a Local Liaison Officer of the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) and previously served as an assistant editor for the journal Neurocomputing (Elsevier). She published over 60 journal and conference papers. Her research interests are in the field of data analytics, signal processing and pattern recognition.
