M. Umit Uyar
M. Umit Uyar, PhD, is a professor at the Electrical Engineering Department of the City College of New York and the Computer Science Department of the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. His research includes formal testing of complex systems, applications of bio-inspired computation techniques to personalized anti-cancer therapy and decision support systems. Prior to joining academia, he was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Labs. He has a B.S. degree from Istanbul Technical University, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, all in Electrical Engineering. He is an IEEE Fellow and holds six U.S. patents.
