Mourad Bouzit received the Ph.D. degree in robotics from UPMC (Paris VI) in 1996. He has been a Senior Researcher in United States of America for 10 years, during which he was an Associate Professor at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, USA, in Computer and Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering Departments, where he regularly collaborated with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). In 2009, he founded ASSISTMOV SAS, a French startup company with the ambition to develop robotics solutions for rehabilitation. His field of research is focused on rehabilitation robotics, virtual reality and more generally designing devices, both hardware and software, that can help disabled people in their everyday life.
