Mark Van Horn
Mark Van Horn received the Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 1996 from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC. He is a veteran of the US Army (1972-1975) and was currently an assistant professor at the Medical University of South Carolina in the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science. He was previously an assistant professor in the Division of Neurosurgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research and career interests are in the areas of image processing and image analysis. Dr. Van Horn is a member of Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, Pi Mu Epsilon, the National Academy of Inventors, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).
