Kikue Hidaka received bachelor in Sociology from Meiji Gakuin University, Japan in 1995, and Master’s in Medical science and the Ph.D. in Medicine from University of Tsukuba, Japan in 2001 and 2005 respectively. She is a licensed Nurse and a Speech Therapist, and also a member of Japan Geriatrics Society, Japan Primary Care Association, Japanese Society of Nursing Art and Science, Japanese Society of Nursing Research, and the Japan Coma Society. She is currently a professor in Faculty of Medicine of University of Tsukuba. Her areas in interest include Coma patients, nursing, rehabilitation, and dysphagia.
