
Hossein Baharvand
Hossein Baharvand is a distinguished Professor at Royan Institute. He received his B.Sc. in Biology, his M.Sc. in Developmental Biology and his Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology. He generated the first lines of mouse and human embryonic stem cells (2003) and induced pluripotent stem cells (2008) in Iran which enabled his team to pursue many avenues of research specially translational approaches and regenerative medicine. He is the founder and director of Royan Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Technology, where they are committed to cross-disciplinary partnerships and collaborations by biology, engineering, and medical academics to improve human health and quality of life.
