Francesco Testa was born in Caserta, Italy on July 26, 1970 and graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 1996 from the Second University of Naples, Naples, Italy. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology in 2000 at the School of Medicine of the Second University of Naples, Naples, Italy. He received a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Medical Biotechnology in 2004 from the University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy. He is Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Multidisciplinary Department of Medical, Surgical and Dental Sciences of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Naples, Italy. He has authored or coauthored about 70 journal and conference papers in the field of Ophthalmology. Prof. Testa is a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and of the Italian Society of Ophthalmology.
