Francesco Clemente (S’13) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 2009 and 2012, respectively. His master thesis work, developed within the Artificial Hands Area of the BioRobotics Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy, involved the mechanical design of an upper limb prosthesis for transradial amputees. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in biorobotics at the BioRobotics Institute and is involved in national and European research projects. His research interests mainly include the development of sensory feedback devices for upper limb amputees but widens to the whole field of upper limb prosthetics.
