Fatemeh Derakhshan-Khadivi was born in Maragheh City, East Azarbayjan, Iran in 1983. She received the B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in microbiology from the Islamic Azad University, Zanjan, Iran, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. Since 2012, she has been working toward the Ph.D. degree at Islamic Azad University, Alborz, Iran. She is the author of 3 articles and 1 invention. Her research interests are screening of biotechnological potentials in microorganisms, and hetrologous protein expression in Yarrowia lipolytica.
