Debdoot Sheet (S’09–M’14) was born in Kharagpur, India, in 1986. He received the B.Tech. degree in electronics and communication engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India, in 2008, the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in medical imaging from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India, in 2010 and 2014, respectively. He was a DAAD Visiting Scholar at the Chair for Computer Aided Medical Procedures, Technishe Universität München, München, Germany, during 2011–2012. He is currently an Assistant Professor of electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His research interests include computational medical imaging, machine learning, image and multidimensional signal processing, and visualization. He has been a Regional Editor of IEEE PULSE since 2014.
