IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering contains basic and applied papers dealing with biomedical engineering. Papers range from engineering development in methods and techniques with biomedical applications to experimental and clinical investigations with engineering contributions.
Dallan Byrne received the B.Eng. degree in electronic and computer engineering in 2007 at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He received his Ph.D. at the same institution in 2012 on the topic of cancer detection using ultrawide-band radar techniques. Since 2012 he has been a research assistant at the University of Bristol, UK. As a member of the microwave breast imaging team, his work focuses on the advancement of radar and DSP techniques for clinical breast scanning. His research interests include microwave and radar imaging, and the biomedical application of signal processing techniques.
