Blake S. Wilson

Blake S. Wilson ( is a codirector of the Duke Hearing Center and an adjunct or consulting professor in multiple departments at Duke University and at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), including the Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Bioengineering at Duke and UTD, respectively. He is a Life Fellow of the IEEE (and the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society) and has received many other awards and honors for his contributions to the development of the modern cochlear implant. He also is an honorary professor at the University of Warwick and the chief strategy advisor for the MED-EL company of Innsbruck, Austria.
