Transcranial Impedance Changes during Sleep: a Rheoencephalography Study
Abstract Objective: To demonstrate the utility of rheoencephalography (REG) for measuring cerebral blood flow and fluid dynamics during different stages of sleep. Methods: Anteroposterior cranial electrical impedance was measured with concurrent polysomnography in a group of healthy subjects during sleep. Transcranial... Read more

In-vivo Intrathecal Tracer Dispersion in Cynomolgus Monkey Validates Wide Biodistribution Along Neuraxis
Intrathecal (IT) delivery is a drug administration method that bypasses the blood-brain barrier by injecting therapeutic molecules directly into the central nervous system. In vivo tracer infusion experiments performed in cynomolgus monkeys dispel the common belief that in intrathecal drug... Read more

In-vivo Intrathecal Tracer Dispersion in Cynomolgus Monkey Validates Wide Biodistribution Along Neuraxis
Intrathecal (IT) drug administration bypasses the blood-brain barrier by injecting therapeutic molecules directly into the central nervous system. Infusion experiments demonstrate the intrathecal route as a viable method for targeting molecules to the spine or the brain. Multimodal imaging confirms that IT administration with proper infusion settings can achieve wider dispersion than has been reported previously. Validation by in vivo nonhuman primate data confirms our ability to predict the biodistribution of intrathecally administered agents from first principles. The study reinstates intrathecal administration as a promising modality for novel treatments such as enzyme replacement or gene therapies targeting neurodegenerative diseases... Read more
