Multimodal Imaging of Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging Combined with Mosaic Filter-Based Hyperspectral Imaging for Precise Surgical Guidance
The goal of this study is to develop a multi-modality imaging system combining visible, hyperspectral imaging (HSI), and laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) to guide surgical procedures for organ transplantation and resection. Resection sites are specified through high-resolution general imaging and LSCI, which makes blood perfusion observable without labels or contrast agents. Tissues are classified by HSI of hemodynamic biomarkers. The multimodal device is capable of monitoring oxygen saturation from the spectral changes characteristic of blood to detect thrombosis, perfusion, and hemorrhage. Based on these technologies, the risks to patients in the operating room can be minimized... Read more

Simultaneous Prediction of Wrist/Hand Motion via Wearable Ultrasound Sensing
The ability to predict wrist and hand motions simultaneously is essential for natural controls of hand protheses. In this paper, we propose a novel method that includes subclass discriminant analysis (SDA) and principal component analysis for the simultaneous prediction of... Read more

Non-contact Early Warning of Shaking Palsy
Abstract Objective: Parkinsonian gait is a defining feature of Shaking Palsy (SP) and it has one of the worse impact on human healthy life than other SP symptoms. The objective of this work is to propose a Parkinsonian gait detection system... Read more

Block-Constraint Robust Principal Component Analysis and its Application to Integrated Analysis of TCGA Data
The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) dataset provides us more opportunities to systematically and comprehensively learn some biological mechanism of cancers formation, growth and metastasis. Since TCGA dataset includes heterogeneous data, it is one of the bioinformatics bottlenecks to mine some... Read more
