Troels W. Kjaer
Troels W. Kjaer, Board certified Clinical Neurophysiologist. Born in 1965. Medical Degree (MD), University of Copenhagen. 1992. PhD University of Copenhagen 1996 on single unit recording of monkey brain primary visual cortex. Present position: Professor in charge of Clinical Neurophysiology and head of research at Zealand University Hospital, Denmark. External associate professor at the University of Copenhagen. Worked as an IRTA fellow at the NIMH, Bethesda Maryland, as a senior researcher at the John F. Kennedy Institute, Denmark, and as chief physician at Rigshospitalet University Hospital. Troels' main research interest is brain monitoring and plasticity in normals and patients. He specifically works on aspects of consciousness and full time range brain monitoring from milliseconds to years.
