Luis Estrada

Luis Estrada (M’08) was born in Panama City, Panama, in 1982. He received the B.Sc. degree in biomedical engineering from the Universidad Latina de Panamá, Panama, in 2004 and the M.Sc. degree in biomedical engineering from the Universitat de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, in 2009. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering at the UPC, the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) and the Biomedical Research Networking Center in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN), Barcelona. His current research interests include signal processing techniques as well as the use of novel sensors and biomedical instrumentation for the evaluation of respiratory muscles. Mr. Estrada is a member of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society.
