Kalia Orphanou is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Computer Science, University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus. She received an M.Eng. degree in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence from the University of Southampton, U.K., in 2009. Her main research interests include temporal reasoning, artificial intelligence in medicine, probabilistic graphical models, dynamic Bayesian networks, temporal abstraction, machine learning and data mining.
