IEEE Journal of Translational Engineering in Health and Medicine's unique aim is to publish original work in the intersection of engineering and clinical translation. The journal's focus is interdisciplinary collaborations between researchers, healthcare providers, and industry and aims to publish results and best practices from these translational efforts.
Dushyantha Jayatilake (M’08) received the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Engineering from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2002 and the Ph.D degree in Engineering from University of Tsukuba, Japan in 2012. In 2011 he was a visiting student at the Biomedical Robotics and Biomicrosystems Lab of University Campus Bio-Medico in Rome. From 2003–2008 he was a lecturer at the Department of Production Engineering of University of Peradeniya, and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, Information and Systems of University of Tsukuba. His areas of interest include assistive robotics, rehabilitation robotics, mechatronics and biomedical engineering.
