J-BHI publishes original papers describing recent advances in the field of biomedical and health informatics where information and communication technologies intersect with health, healthcare, life sciences and biomedicine.
Aimilia Gastounioti (M’10) received the Diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Athens, Greece, in 2009, where she is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in the Biomedical Simulations and Imaging Laboratory, NTUA. She has (co-)authored 17 papers in scientific journals and international conferences and one book chapter. She has also worked as a Researcher in two National and two European R&D projects on biomedical engineering. Her current research interests include medical image processing and analysis, and machine learning toward computer-aided clinical diagnosis. Since 2012, Ms. Gastounioti has been a Scientific Reviewer of the IEEE JOURNAL OF BIOMEDICAL AND HEALTH INFORMATICS, the Wiley-Scanning, and the Elsevier-Ultrasonics, as well as in various international scientific conferences. She has participated at the organizing committees of three international scientific conferences. She is a Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
