Society Awards
EMBS sponsors twelve (12) Awards of member recognition for technical and professional excellence, service to the society, local activities, publications and student papers. Nominations for these awards are accepted annually in February, Award Recipients are announced in May and the awards are presented at the Society's Annual International Conference. More

Fellows Program
The IEEE EMBS Board of Directors confers the Grade of Fellow upon a person with an extraordinary record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE EMBS fields of interest. A brief citation is issued to new Fellows describing their accomplishments. The total number of Fellows selected in any one year may not exceed one-tenth of one percent of the total voting membership of all of IEEE. More

Distinguished Lecturers Program
The IEEE EMBS Distinguished Lecturers Program provides high quality speakers to EMBS Chapters, Student Branch Chapters and Student Clubs. Speakers are chosen by the Distinguished Lecturer Program Committee, which recruits from the international community and industry to keep members on the cutting edge of trends and developments in biomedical engineering.
